Mother’s Day Gift Tag

Hello everyone, Jennifer here kicking off Mother’s Day weekend with some fun projects and great twine!  My mom lives pretty far away from us and we’re always shipping special occasion gifts to her.  One of the things I try to do is to get them ordered and to me early enough (not always easy with a 2.5 year old!) so I can wrap them in custom wrap.  This year I didn’t manage to get the wrap done in time but I was able to make a lovely gift tag to brighten up her package. I […]

Earth Week/Up-cycling with Leftovers

Hello friends, Jennifer here today to share a fun, up-cycled project for Earth Week!   We recently had some work done on our house and had some leftover pieces of board and paint which I just couldn’t let go to waste!  I cut a piece of the board to measure 5×7 and then painted it the robin’s egg blue.  Once that was dry, I added a layer of white paint on top, let dry, and then sanded it to rough up the edges and let the blue show through.  I think I made the layers a bit […]

Dr. Seuss/Read Across America Week!

Hi all!  Jennifer here to kick off Dr. Seuss/Read Across America week and share a fun project with you!  March 2nd is Theodor Seuss Geisel’s birthday, aka Dr. Seuss, and his books are in heavy rotation at our house with Amelia.  I knew right away that I had that fun quote stamp and wanted to incorporate it into a journaling tag for Amelia’s scrapbook.   I started out with a large tag base and covered it with some notebook-grid patterned paper.  I added a list sticker which I will list Amelia’s favorite books.  I like to […]

Gift Bag/Tag: Therm-o-Web DecoFoil Week!

Hello friends, Jennifer here sharing another fun project made with DecoFoil!  What a fun showcase this has been so far – I love all of the ideas!  I made the little gift bag and tag above for my daughter for Valentine’s day but it can easily be used for any other love-themed event throughout the year like birthday, anniversary, or just because.  The foils are very easy to use and the results are spectacular! I started out with the foam adhesive sheet and die cut an assortment of hearts.  In order to apply the foil, […]

Pocket Tags

Hello friends, Jennifer here with some cute pocket tags to share with you!  This is such a fun project for an Advent calendar or simply to decorate a tree!   I started out by stamping images from the 12 days of Christmas stamps I have in my stash (long since retired) onto distressed tea bags and adhered them to the gift tags on three sides so they acted as pockets.  I then filled the pockets with dried flowers and herbs, feathers and leaves, and other pieces of holiday ephemera.  I finished the little pockets with […]
