Happy Fall!!

Have you noticed?  Fall is in the air!  We’re celebrating the change of the season all week at The Twinery! We’ve got gorgeous shades of green. red, orange, yellow and brown twine (just like the foliage changing colors) for all your projects!    I started with a die cut background of colorful dots in fall colors.     Sometimes it gets tricky trying to decide what color twine to use when you have lots of other colors to compete with.  That’s when I’m reaching for the neutrals.  This time I used Gold Shimmer Twine to […]

National Coffee Day

Thanks for stopping by!  Did you know it’s National Coffee Day?  To celebrate I’m showing some coffee themed projects featuring The Twinery Twine and some packaging from SRM Stickers!  Who doesn’t love a treat?   And gosh treats are just made to go with a great cup of coffee!   SRM Stickers has Embossed Vellum Bags, Kraft Bags, Plastic Tube Containers, Boxes, and so much more!  I’m only showing a few of your many packaging options today!  For treats I like bags that are decorated and easy to slip things in and out of in […]

An Apple for Teacher

This week we’ve been showing apple themed projects .  You can’t help but think of Fall when you hear the word “apples” here in the Midwest.  It’s harvest time!  We’re starting to see the local farm stands open displaying corn stalks, pumpkins, colorful Indian corn, and an array of gourds in every size and shape.  I’m always excited to see bushels of apples!  The baskets are filled to overflowing – green Granny Smith, red McIntosh, and Yellow Golden Delicious.  They smell amazing too!  Fall also means back to school.  I can picture a row of […]

Pawsitively Perfect!

Thanks for stopping by!  We’re sharing a little Puppy Love here at the Twinery over the next few days and I’ve got a sweet little card to share!  I love incorporating twine into my projects as a way to add color and texture.   This one has lots of different colors – a treat for your eyes!  I started by stamping a tag with a punny sentiment and some cute little paw prints.  Next I got out my ruler and drew a pencil dot ever 1/4″ to help me punch holes in a nice straight […]

To Grow A Friend

We’re celebrating summer with garden themed projects this week at The Twinery!  I love gardening and I love this time of year because the garden is in full bloom.  Small seedlings that were planted in May have matured and are producing an abundance of flowers (and veggies!)  and the yard is a riot of color. It’s no secret I love working with floral images, and this set from Reverse Confetti is one of my favorites. Nothing makes colors pop more than a neutral background.  I layered on soft grey papers and wrapped Charcoal twine around my […]
