Happy New Year!

new-year-four

I hope you had a fabulous Christmas and that you got to spend the holiday with family and friends.  There’s nothing like that warm feeling of being surrounded by the ones you love to make the season brighter.   Now that the presents have been opened.. it’s time to look back at 2016 – and reflect on events past.  It’s also a time to look forward to 2017 with wishes of all good things.  Here’s a toast to 2017!   My card features lots of sparkle and shine.  I’ve added silver glitter paper and sequins […]

Alt Christmas

We’re gearing up for the Holidays at The Twinery!   I’m enjoying all the Holiday projects I’m seeing on blogs, Facebook, and Instagram!  I mean…. cards, tags, treats and packaging – what’s not to love?!!     So many different styles to see…. classy and elegant,  traditional “red and green”, fussy, clean and simple, etc.  My favorite holiday cards are ones that remind me of my childhood.  I love a card with Santa.. and I love retro colors!  My childhood includes snowy white trees with pink, purple, chartreuse and teal ornaments (gosh I’m old!).  So […]

Carmel Crunch Popcorn

Every year when the weather gets cool enough to turn on the oven I make this carmel corn crunch mix.  That’s always in the fall and has become a tradition in our home.   I always make several batches and bag them in cellophane bags and dress them up to give to family and friends.  When everyone leaves after the big meal on Thanksgiving they’ll be taking one of these with them.  I made a tag with stamps and die cuts from Reverse Confetti and some colorful Twinery Twine – this is a brand new color […]

Take A Hike

stag-three

This Graceful Stag die surrounded by all the beautiful colors of nature seemed like just the thing for Take A Hike day!   I started with a panel of cardstock that was just a little bit bigger than the window opening of the die cut.   I […]

Halloween Banner

Are you gearing up for Halloween?  It’s just a week away!  We’re loading up the blog with fun ways to celebrate!  I was originally going to make a bunch of Halloween tags for treat bags to share today, but decided they were too cute to part with.  I mean… the kiddos are only focused on the candy right?  So I decided to string them on a banner to hang in my crafty room!  I used three strands of twine  – two Charcoal, one Solid Charcoal.  I  wanted the hanger to be strong because I know […]
