Lazy Girl String Art

You may remember my “Lazy Girl’s Cross Stitch” project from awhile back…and today this lazy girl is back with some “Lazy Girl String Art”.  (Well, I guess it’s technically twine art.) I love the fun string art that is popping up everywhere these days, but even though I am a carpenter’s daughter, I am not really one to bust out the boards and nails for a small home decor project.    But I did have some canvas boards and a heavy duty hole punch, so I decided to give it a whirl… I started by […]

Distressed Foil Embellished Onesies

It’s Tifany from Ink Blots by TRD here and today I’ve got a fun project to share with you…distressed foil embellished onesies! Foil is so popular right now, and I love the fact that it can be applied to fabric. I wanted to create a fun gift for two of my newest nieces, and I thought decorated onesies would be perfect. My sisters-in-law like vintage and/or shabby chic styles, so distressing on the hearts was the perfect look. This may look like a difficult and time-consuming project, but it really wasn’t. Owl Bottle Cap Necklace

Today I have a fun, quick project to share…something wearable using The Twinery‘s Solid Denim twine. I love creating jewelry and other wearable items with The Twinery’s twine because it is so soft! (It is 100% cotton.)   I started by using a bottle cap to create my necklace base. I then added some split rings to hold that cute little owl charm, which was created using shrink plastic. First I stamped my image on shrink plastic, colored it in, and then I used my heat gun to shrink it. In the photo above you can […]
