Who doesn’t love a good Seussical rhyme?! Dr. Seuss’ books are the backdrop to most of our childhoods…and we still love them today as adults! Now, that’s timeless literature!
We’re celebrating this week with a few fun projects that you can recreate for yourself…and of course, they all include some of our baker’s twine! We hope you’ll join us to celebrate reading, literacy and of course, Mr. Theodor Seuss Geisel’s (aka: Dr. Seuss) birthday this week!
Download the bookmarks, print them on white card stock, cut them using the guidelines given and use a hole punch to punch holes in the top of each bookmark to string twine through to create bookmark tassels & twine sprays!
To create the bookmarks twine tassels, we simply created a small twine tassel with our Solid Maraschino twine using THIS TUTORIAL and attached it to another piece of twine that was looped through the hole in the bookmark. For the other bookmark, we simply created a twine spray by looping several pieces of our Solid Denim Blue twine, knotting it and trimming up the ends. We thought that was perfect to resemble Thing 1 and Thing 2’s infamous hair!
Easy peasy and fun for all ages!
…and Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!
