Happy Thursday, everyone! You almost made it through the first week of February! (Wow, that’s pretty hard to even say…how can it be February already)?
Well, we hope you’ve enjoy the last couple of days here on the blog as we featured some various guest bloggers’ Valentine’s Day cards! We love being able to feature YOUR work and projects! It’s so much fun!
Today, we have another FABULOUS guest blogger: Shauna from SK Studios is here with us!
Shauna K here from SK Studios
, and I’m so excited to be able to share with you today at The Twinery! I have a little toddler running around and wanted to make a little gift bag for her for Valentine’s Day this year. So I ran out to Target and hit up their Dollar Spot and grabbed a bunch of heart-themed goodies and Frozen-themed goodies (because in this house we pretty much love anything Disney!). I found a great little canvas tote bag and thought, what better way to decorate it up than with some twine from The Twinery?! I also ended up making a little fairy wand featuring some more twine, as well as wrapping a few of the goodies in some twine!
So I’ll start with the tote bag here. It already came with some cute birdie and heart decorations on it. You could totally get a blank canvas bag and paint it or stamp it yourself too! I grabbed my hot glue gun, some coordinating twine, and outlined the main images in corresponding twine. Super cute! I added a few buttons to top it off and made a twine bow on one as well. Love!
The fairy wand was up next. To start out, I punched out some hearts and snowflakes from festive cardstock. I used my Cuttlebug and paper punches for this. I then hot glued a heart to one end of a bamboo skewer (I made sure to cover up the pointy end here!). I tied some plastic beads to various lengths of twine, then glued the other ends to the backside of the heart. To finish it off, I glued another heart on the back of the first one (and to cover up all the twine ends!) and added some snowflakes and gems. Pretty super simple!
Let’s not forget the great look of twine for wrapping gifts! I quickly added a bit of twine around some cute socks I picked up for the wee one. Cute!!
Well, that’s about all I have for you today. Thank you SO much to The Twinery for letting me share here today! I hope you’ve gotten a little inspiration for Valentine’s Day!
